Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation is a member owned and operated Tennessee Valley Authority distributor.  TCEMC serves 47,000 homes and business in Northern Middle Tennessee and South Central Kentucky.

Tri-County Electric is unique.  We are not just "the electric company."  We are a member-owned cooperative.  Rather than stockholders, we are owned by each of our 47,000 customers.  Our sole reason for creation in 1936 was to serve the needs of the rural customers in our area.  Today, from the original three counties served, we have customers located in 14 counties in Tennessee and Kentucky.

If you are a customer, please check our web site.  We will use the site to post notices regarding system upgrades as well as safety information.  Future updates will include the ability to check your account status and make payments.

If you are looking for a place to relocate, either for yourself or your company, please visit our web site.  The links on this site should provide you with local information regarding recreation, available industrial sites, and local activities.

Sincerely,

Paul Thompson
Executive Vice-President & General Manager
