In early 2001, the Perrier Group of America, now Nestlé Waters North America, Inc., acquired Bennett Hill Spring in Red Boiling Springs in Macon County, Tennessee.

The Bennett Hill Spring is surrounded by a large, undeveloped tract of land that Nestlé Waters will protect to safeguard both the spring water and the purity and natural beauty of the area for many years to come.  Our operations will strictly adhere to all federal, state and local environmental regulations.

Construction of a state-of-the art bottling facility began in early 2003.  The plant made its first test of the full bottling line on March 15, 2004.   The first shipment of bottled water left the plant on May 22, 2004.  A total of 27,000 cases, containing water processed from sources on the Nestlé Waters property, were shipped that first day.  As of December 15, 2004, the plant had produced 312 million bottles of water.

Water from the main Bennett Hill spring is being bottled under the brand name Nestlé Pure Life Purified Water.

The jobs that exist at the plant include everything from Administrative and Customer Service Representatives to Production Operators, Warehouse/Forklift Operators, Managers/Supervisors and Quality Control Analysts.  Employment as of January 2005 was approximately 98 people.

Suppliers and vendors interested in working with Nestlé should send their request and company information in writing to:
