
Leadership Macon
A Personal Development Program for Community Leaders
Leadership Macon would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in
participating in the 2008 Leadership Macon Class. Organized in 1991 as a
branch of the Macon County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Macon is a committee
dedicated to promoting the unity of Macon County and strives to make the
community a better place to live. The Leadership Program is a vital part
of the Three-Star Community Program for the Governor's Award of Excellence.
The goal of Leadership Macon is to cultivate skills in
individuals by providing an education in various facets of county life.
Members will be attending approximately 6 class sessions and 2-3 outside of
class meetings. Some of the meetings will be evening meetings, and some
will be lunch meetings. The cost of the course is $100.00 and is payable
at the first meeting.
The agenda for the 2008 class is:
1. Local government.
2. State government.
3. Manufacturing.
4, Tourism.
5. History of Macon County.
6. Health care.
7. Education.
8. Agriculture.
9. Local law enforcement.
10. Leadership skills.
