Jett Williams is an internationally-recognized country star who lives in Macon County, Tennessee. Jett Williams' best selling autobiography, Ain't Nothin' As Sweet As My Baby, details her struggles to learn, and finally prove, that her father was legendary country singer Hank Williams, Sr. Jett was born five days after her father's death and, in a series of rather bizarre events, Jett was adopted twice and never told her true identity. It took her over 30 years before she knew the truth. Jett Williams now is a star in her own right, and her musical talents are appreciated in concerts around the globe. In the year 2000, the Tennessee House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing Jett Williams' work in Macon County.
A stretch of a Macon County, Tennessee, highway has been named after Jett Williams. Signs were erected on each end of the stretch heralding the road as "Jett Williams Drive." We thank Ms. Williams for all of her efforts to help Macon County students and the citizens of Macon County in general.
